1st Dlop Coloring Contest File by CDL113 1st Dlop Coloring Contest File by CDL113
The original is a B&W titled 1st Dlop Coloring Contest File [link] by :iconarmando-huerta: .
The color work on Wonder Woman I did by hand. I used a computer to add my skull tag and the background. The background art of the American Flag I found on the net posted for open use.
This is a link post[link] to :iconarmando-huerta: journal post about the contest as well as a feature of the work of the other contestants.

Wowzers!! this is legit. Im liking the metallic look to her girdle, bracelets and corset. The details really popped out when I viewed it in large. Beautiful lighting on her face, eyes and hair. And in other news...those Lips, dude. (Both sets.) LOLz

This is probably the best I've seen so far. Everybody else used a digital medium! It looks so much better this way.

I like the colors and the inclusion of the American flag.
The stars should be in the upper-left corner of the flag.

Thanks, that may explain why that flag was posted as "free for public domain use" on the net. I should have caught that before I saved and posted it.

I'm quite sure it does explain it.
You would think when people post stuff, for public domain use, that they would get stuff like this properly oriented.

Thanks for the good work on your art.

Actually it's hanging correctly.

Having the stars on the left side would mean its upside-down. Ultimately meaning trouble; or like S.O.S.

Just what I know. :)

May I suggest that you look up pictures of American flag displays.

I was in the Air Force for 13 1/2 years. 120 days of that time was spent on the base Honor Guard at Shaw Air Force Base, SC. We were taught the proper ways of caring for the flag.

To use the flag as an S.O.S. requires the flag to be flown with the stars in the lower-left corner.

The upper-left corner is where the stars should be when the flag is hung on a flat surface (such a the wall behind a person).

I apologize for my accusation.
I took a closer look at the digital copy of the Don Monroe picture and discovered that I was wrong.

Again, I apologize.

No problem.

I am just worrying over the limited pallet of markers that I have to be able to make my entry do justice.....

I'll stay at it, no fear there. Yeah, markers are my main choice unless someone requests colored pencils. I have been dabbling at using paints a bit but have only had any real success with my rpg miniatures as before.
